This is one of the hardest rounds. I think the hardest since 4. The Star-Nose has some steep competition. Hopefully one day all these will exist in game.

I hope the star nosed mole nose wins by a nose...of mole nose length!

I think by 'horrible lineup of hideous biological nightmares' , you really mean 'beautiful selection of diverse life parts' ! L.O.L.!

Tremors monster and dilophosaurus are my favorite two. Had to go with the tremors monster in the end!

So it looks like the creature from Tremors, Dilophosaurus and Opabina are leading the pack on 9 votes each. This round may end up going to a tie-breaker. :)

Why not all of them merged together? You've already given us similarly insane things.

quasar wrote:Actually, I've decided against merging them for a variety of reasons: not all heads can be elegantly combined, it makes functionality harder to guess, and in some cases it changes this from a competition to a vote-rigging task... etc. Sorry guys, in the future ties will be broken with a tiebreaker of some description, so don't vote on that basis.

I'm torn between the dilophosaurus double crest and the dimorphodon head. They're both cool non-aquatic creature heads. I'm by no means averse to aquatic animals, I'm just more interested in land-dwellers. Tremors head looks very cool, but since it's never existed in any living animal (that we know of) we don't really know how functional it would be in reality. But maybe I'm being too conservative.

I also kinda like the mole rat thing because it's both unusual and useful. But then I think maybe then maybe there's a good reason it's so uncommon. Food for thougt.

In any case I'll let someone else who's been here longer be the tiebreaker. :)

TIE BREAKER!

Everyone gets a second vote and an extra day in which to use it. :D

Let the battle commence.
