A festival might not be wise given the recent disorder.

Repair Inn(mine)
Big hyper-aggressively for the mine. Ferran will have Autarky
Attempt to gain permission for a small Ferran defence unit given the recent disorder in order to protect ferrans and their property such as the hospital

EDIT Assemble the strike team to save family

I would've thought that with Cisse's men temporarily available, now would've been the time to assemble the strike team. But it's your family, I guess.

I made an edit. Totally forgot about that. THe ferran unit is going to be a standing force, the strike force on the other hand is a more temporary thing.

Putting this on temporary hiatus until Carnac is up and running.

And thus, the Tenth Month has passed alongside our existence, greeting us with it's chill winds and overcast skies. What has transpired in this month? Read on, to see what new tremors are shaking the lives of those who live in Frye...

The Elders have discussed the Current issues, and their results are recorded here.

1. Elder-funded U'debbhaian Festival, yes or no?
Erris: Yes, but there should be a Dabalian festival too in order to appease both religions.
Natoole: No, we cannot show support for any single religion.
Fenris: A festival might not be wise given the recent disorder.
Maruki: I see nothing wrong with this festival, so it good on my end. But there must be a official month that this festival should be settled that doesn't interfere with other festivals.
Bouhe: No. Religious organizations already have churches.
Loforz: U'debbha must be praised! We must have a festival!
Final Vote: After long discussions and heated debates, the Council has been swayed, despite Loforz' anger, to not support an U'debbhaian festival. Fenris gave the wisest answer, and the Council agreed tha perhaps they could postpone this request to a later date. Loforz is furious, and asks the Elders what the point is of having religious groups take turns being on the Council if they can't actually do anything. A Dabalian priest is going to have a turn next, and he can do whatever he likes for the Dabalian Church at that point. No matter, Loforz finishes, U'debbha shall have his festival in the U'debbhaian church, and the Elders shall simply take no part of it if they are going to be this way. Loforz storms out of the Council meeting.
Cisse, our Bailiff, has read the letters of the powerful families and has responded accordingly.
Lew: [As Cisse was in town, their actions will be with him directly]

Tannell: [No Action was Taken]

Ferran: [As Cisse was in town, their actions will be with him directly]

Asura: [No Action was Taken]

Elforche: [As Cisse was in town, their actions will be with him directly]

Cisse is in Frye, and thus responds to the families in person while present.
The powerful families have done much this past month:
Asura: -Equipment Requisition- 59
Dioruki has approached the Ferran family with a list of equipment necessary to train and equip the new Asuran recruits. While Ferran is busy with many things, they don't decline the request and inform Asura that they will get back to them on this next month.

Asura: -Airi's Aid- 55
The Medicants, while busy with daily visitations and running the hospital, agree to give Airi treatment, provided she is moved to their hospital where she can be better cared for. Lew has yet to give a response or offer any treatment for Airi, but they did not directly refuse to aid Asura in this matter. Airi's condition is worsening, and something must be done to save her; if nothing is done, she will no doubt die sometime in the coming month...

Asura: -Bryanna's Barrage- 26(Result Affected by Lew)
The Asuran guards roughly interrogate the thief they captured, and despite the thief's adamant refusal to say her name or admit any guilt, she is roughly interrogated for further investigation. The guards don't get much farther than this, as whoever this thief is, she is well-skilled at keeping secrets. The thief tells the guards that she stole nothing, and that she thought entering the houses would stop thieves if they thought a place was being robbed. Whether the Asuran guard believes this is up to them.

Asura: -Horse Herdings- 66
Notu, Asura's experience farmer, goes with the other farmers to care for the horses. His expert eye notices that one of the horses has been pregnant for several months now, and is quite far along. A young foal can be expected to be born in the coming month. All those with Notu acknowledge his skill in farming.

Asura: -Learn form History- 88
Lady Sakuri goes forth with a small emissary of Maruki's throughout Frye in search of a history teacher. While they find a suitable Asuran woman who is quite aged and knows much of Frye's local history, they discover that Lew has already located and hired a history teacher for the school.

Asura: -Elective Gavelkind- 56
The members of Asura have responded neutrally to this act of their leaders, and have proceeded to vote. Nothing major to note here, as Asura is handling the voting process internally, and votes have be affected by the actions of the Asuran candidates throughout the events of this month.

Lew: -Docking Station- 19
As Lew's investigators ask around the docks about the regulars, they are approached by a large gruff-looking man and a gaggle of other lowlifes, who inform the Lew investigators that they don't like newcomers in their area. They quickly draw cudgels and daggers, while the largest of them wields a gore-encrusted morning-star. They take the investigators by force, letting one of them go after giving him a good beating, with written instructions on where to leave a large sum of money if they want to see their friends ever again.

Lew: -General Visitation- 83
One of Lew's investigators, the one who survived the abduction on the docks, stumbles into the general store where the cloak was found. The owner is shocked by his wounds, and bandages him up, afterwards giving more details on the cloak, and how the one selling the cloak to him was carrying a large morning-star of some kind, and had a group of thugs with him. He mentions how they came by in the evening at dusk, and this wasn't the first time he'd seen them drop by. They seem to come by about once a week, with random things to sell of varying value. The store owner has never refused to buy things from them, for fear that they would rob him instead.

Lew: -Ferran's Forays- 29
The Ferran family does not take kindly to Lew emissaries poking around in their business, especially after Lew mentions the steel dagger that they'd found in the alley. Ferran refuses to answer their questions, and Lew leaves empty-handed. This makes Lew's emissaries suspicious that Ferran may have been more involved than they had originally thought... Relations between Ferran and Lew become strained.

Lew: -Animosity- 74
Thankfully, Lew farmers and explorers were able to capture a fair amount of wild foxes and deer roaming the forests, and bring them back to their farms. The wild animals are skittish, but might be able to be domesticated.

Lew: -Cisse's Aid- 12
Unfortunately, when Lew tries to come forward to Cisse about the information, Cisse is neck-deep in a strategic engagement with Ferran men and Asuran guards, as well as his own soldiers, forming a strike team and some rescue strategies for Ferran's family. Members of Ferran interrupt the Lew delegates, saying that their family's rescue is a more pressing matter, and Cisse can worry about other matters later. Cisse agrees with them, and returns to planning the strike team assault.

Tannell: -Eloquent Ensemblance- 69
Repairs on the inn go smoothly, thanks to Tannell hiring a few skilled builders who are able to repair the inn easily. While it doesn't look as good as it used to, it is operational once again, and if Tannell continues to work on it, it will be completely restored.

Tannell: -Eloquent Apologies- 16
Unfortunately, many of the higher-class patrons of the Eloquent Oak are so turned off that their chefs would even consider serving a live rat that they flat out refuse to accept any form of apology. The Eloquent Oak's reputation drops further.

Tannell: -Musing Constructions- 100
Tannell's efforts at constructing a small museum on a property adjacent to their own family villa has turned out extremely well, with masterwork level of construction making the entire building complete in just a month. The Museum looks magnificent, and turns the heads of many passers-by, who ask Tannell what the building is for. Tannell members tell the commoners that they will know soon enough.

Tannell: -Giving Up- 79
Finally, after the better part of a year of fruitless investigation, Tannell investigators have thrown up their hands in vain about the mystery of the Count's murder. Whatever happened, whoever was responsible, was clearly a master of crimes and covering their tracks, or got so lucky that no one could trace them. Finally, Tannell can redirect its resources to more family-benefiting projects. Their endeavors of the previous month have benefited as a result.

Elforche: -Beet-red Beatings- 42
The red-haired criminal that Elforche has tied to a chair in the basement of their private villa has previously been unresponsive to questioning, but now Elforche has become impatient. This man has done nothing but been a thorn in their side for several months, and a waste of food and water. An interrogator begins to beat their prisoner, breaking several of his bones, and manages to learn one thing: this man is a very skilled arson. Cisse is informed of the criminal they have in custody, and he arrives to question him. Cisse learns that his companions often called him... Arson Man.

Elforche: -Mining for Men- 35
Unfortunately, most of Elforche's previous mining staff has been rehired by Kryne for his Western Mines, or by Ferran for their quarry.

Elforche: -Exploring the Wilds- 24
As Elforche sent explorers out to the wilderness, they are gone several days longer than expected. Of the four that were sent out, only two return, heavily wounded by large claw marks, stunned and afraid. They inform Elforche that they were attacked by a black beast with dreadfully sharp claws and purple eyes. Quite a few commoners witnessed the return of these explorers, and rumors have begun to spread... What Elforche does with this information is up to them.

Elforche: -Craftsmanry- 55
Elforche craftsman have begun to integrate stone fixtures into their wooden crafts, and the concept seems to work. Some commoners buy the new trinkets, and profit is slightly increased.

Elforche: -Elforche Guard- 42
Elforche has quite a few properties, and spreading the Elforche guards between all of them has caused their forces to be stretched somewhat thin. How this will affect them is yet to be seen...

Ferran: -Indigo Repairs- 21 (Result Supported by Asura)
Unfortunately for Ferran, the damage from the scuffle at the inn was more structural than initially suspected, and during the repair, on of the main supports gave way, causing a portion of the building to collapse. It was only with Asura's helpful guards nearby who managed to rescue the Ferran-hired builders that no one was hurt. The repair will be more expensive than initially thought as well, now that structural parts will need to be replaced.

Ferran: -Ferran Defense Unit- 38
As many groups have privately hired defense units, Ferran does not need to ask for the town's permission to do this. Ferran manages to assemble some unskilled family members and a few hired mercenaries to make a ragtag defense unit for their properties, but without proper equipment and training, they will not be an effective force.

Ferran: -Strike Team Assault- 46 (Result affected by Asura, Elforche, and Cisse)
On a cool, breezy autumn evening near the end of the month, A group of Asuran Guards, Cisse's County Soldiers, and Ferran representatives move quietly through the alleys of Frye, following the Ferran delegate's directions towards where the "criminals who kidnapped Ferran family members" allegedly are. With the Elforche villa in sight, the strike team circles around to the back of the property, where they use a large tree trunk, brought from the forest for this purpose, to bash through one of the cobblestone walls of the villa, showering debris and dust into the Elforche villa's living room. The guards inside are taken by surprise as the motley crew of Soldiers and Guards bursts through the breach, quickly neutralizing any armed target they see. The detachment of County Soldiers makes it's way upstairs, killing several resistant Elforche guards along the way, to find Nora, the Ferran mage, standing on her bed, holding a small dagger, waving it at the County Soldiers and telling them to stay away. She informs them that she is not a hostage and his here of her own free will, but the County Soldiers manage to disarm her and drag her away, down the stairs and out through the breach in the living room wall, all the while hearing her screech and protest, and threaten to curse them with her magical abilities. The armed Ferran delegates and the Asuran guards make their way into the basement, where they find Arson Man being beaten by an interrogator, who is quickly killed by a knife thrown by a Ferran delegate. Arson Man is freed, to Asura's confusion, who question Ferran why they are freeing this thug, to which they receive no response but are told to follow orders like the good soldiers that they are. Coming upstairs, the Asurans find that someone has dragged a large amount of furniture and ornamental fixtures over the living room breach, blocking their escape. Then, a large contingent of Elforche guards rushes in the front door, and a wild fight ensues. Furniture is trashed, and splintered floorboards fly about the room as a wild melee ensues. Arson man makes use of this opportunity to seize a burning log from the fireplace and throw it onto the lush carpet in the living room, starting a quick-burning and devastating fire. He then bolts from the mansion through an open window, and off into the shadows of the alleys of Frye. A lone Ferran delegate manages to escape with two Asuran guards after the distraction of the fire, fleeing into the alleys of Frye. The Elforche guards manage to smother the fire, and have killed a good number of the attackers and identified them as Asuran and Ferran, but their "residents" have both been abducted. Regrouping at the Ferran family estate, Both the surviving Asuran guards and Cisse's soldiers have questions for the Ferran leaders, such as why Nola didn't want to be rescued, and why they went through all the effort to rescue a thug who ditched them the first chance they got. Cisse, the bailiff, is particularly... interested... as to why Ferran rescued this man, especially since he had interrogated him just a week before the strike team. Also, Cisse is very upset; hadn't Ferran told Cisse that it was group of thugs that had kidnapped his family? Had he known it was one of the families, things would have been handled differently, instead of so many lives being lost. Relations between Elforche and Ferran are extremely strained. Relations between Elforche and Asura become strained.
Festival of Life (Event): (Asura: -Asura's Affirmation- 65 , Lew: -Lew's Listenings- 45)
Near the end of the month, a large gathering is initiated in the Church of Northe, with commoners and aristocrats alike crowding the building, craning their necks to see the stage at the front, where stand a crude wooden statue of a man driving a spear into the earth, with tentacles spreading from the spear's point, symbolizing Northe defeating the Dark God. People make way for a large group of Asurans, who take a prominent seat in the front of the Church, welcomed cordially by several Medicants. A Lew delegated, wearing a brown hood, merges in with the crowd, but doesn't manage to get a clear vantage point of the stage, and thus can only hear but not see anything coming from the stage. A hush falls over the crowd as Northe enters the building from a small door at the back of the stage, and then a deafening roar of raucous cheering erupts from the crowd as Northe raises both his hands in greeting. As the crowd quiets down, Northe begins to speak. He talks of the diversity of those in Frye, and how everyone is unique and special, but we share something in common: our problems. Northe brings up various issues, such as the rampant crime, and then narrows in on the incident of the mine. He asks for a moment of silence for those who have given their lives for the good of Frye. He then mentions how the Dark God is trying to return to Frye, and set it's ugly tentacles and claws upon the village once more, and that something - someone, must defeat the Dark God. Northe beckons, and a man in a black hood with red trim steps up onto the stage, and removes his hood, revealing Armanus, the former literacy teacher. Most of the crowd raises a hand into the air to show respect, and Armanus reciprocates the gesture. Armanus summarizes his funeral speech about Chayrus, and then adds that Chayrus is going to defeat the Dark god once and for all. But, to do this, Chayrus must destroy all of Frye. A hush falls over the crowd, and then they begin to mumble to each other, getting louder and more confused, until Armanus hushes them once again. He informs them that those who are loyal to Chayrus, who are willing to serve and follow him as the one true god, in whom all shall be one, whom greater than he is none, shall be saved from destruction. Those who wish to be saved from this destruction are to meet Armanus on the old docks at the end of this coming month, where Chayrus shall deliver them from the destruction which shall destroy the Dark god once and for all. The crowd begins to mumble, until Northe steps forward and gives his full support to Armanus, saying that he and his Medicants will help whoever wishes to join Chayrus and Armanus as much as necessary. After this, Armanus says a short prayer to Chayrus on behalf of the audience, promising allegiance and death to the Repugnant for Chayrus' act of salvation. The Audience slowly trickles out of the Church of Northe after this. Northe warmly greets the Asurans that are attending, and takes their compliments happily. He gets more serious, however, and warns the Asurans that they should all join Armanus and pledge allegiance to Chayrus, the greatest of the gods, if they wish to survive the destruction of the Dark god on Frye, and meet him at the old docks at the appointed time.

Mine Auction (Event): (Elforche: -Speech- 6)
On a warm day, the Elders assemble in the town square around the Xijin Sword monument, and gather the aristocrats and the wealthy together, informing them of the auction of the Eastern Mines, and that any who wish to bid may do so. Suddenly an Elforche representative interrupts the introductions, and begins to proclaim to all present that instead of bidding for the mine, they should support Elforche's requisition of the mine, as they will ensure better safety in their own mine. The crowd begins to shout and boo, yelling that Elforche is simply trying to get the mine for themselves. An angry crowds-man rushes to the stage, and tries to punch the Elforche speaker in the face, only to be stopped in the nick of time by a city guard who drags him away. Then the bidding for the mine ensues. At first it is loud and raucous, as many wealthy members try to outbid each other for this "gold mine" of an opportunity, But the bidding grows more tense and quiet as one by one, the aristocrats are dropping out of the race; Ferran continues to bid higher and doesn't let up, keeping neck and neck with Elforche, Kryne, Cisse himself, and, ironically, a priest of the U'debbhaian church! Eventually Kryne drops out, not wanting to risk his current financial security, and the priest of the U'debbhaian church drops out after being approached by several other concerned priests who warn him not to plummet the religious institution into ruin. Cisse drops out after the numbers begin to skyrocket, laughing that he has more important business to attend to anyway. Elforche and Ferran are the only ones left, and while Elforche bids valiantly, the Ferran representative finally puts down a number so high that even Elforche has to back off. Wheeling a large cartel of wheelbarrows filled with gold and silver coins, Ferran presents the Elders with payment and promptly takes ownership of the Eastern Mines. Ferran's finances are greatly reduced due to this, and it will take a while before they can make back the capital that they have so aggressively lost; but the mine is theirs.
New Issues:
1. Maruki would like to propose a new law to deal with increased amounts of crimes. I suggest any criminals caught with their first crime that have ever harmed a person "which means petty crimes wouldn't count" should have their hands cut off to allow them to never do their crimes ever done as a fair warning against anyone that tries to danger the innocent.

2. Maruki would also like to request for the elders help with the payment of the new training of the Asuran guard recruits to better secure the safety of the village and would like advice to improve their methods if any of the elders have suggestions.

Notable Events:
1. The Eloquent Oak has been repaired before the Indigo Ibex, and while not restored completely, it is capable of receiving patrons. This puts them ahead of the Indigo Ibex and ahead of competition.

2. Armanus has delivered a disconcerting message at the Festival of Life in the Church of Northe, and its rumors circulate very quickly throughout Frye, causing nothing short of quite a disturbance among the common populace and even some of the aristocrats. Many are actually considering meeting Armanus at the old docks at the end of this month. Could Chayrus really exterminate this "Dark god"? And what will the cost really be?

3. A major attack has been carried on a property of Elforche, leaving many wounded and even dead. Rumors circulate about what really happened, people blame Asura, Ferran, and even Cisse himself. What really happened? Unrest is beginning to spread, which isn't being helped by all the other disturbing events occurring in Frye right now.

4. The School of Frye currently has teachers for all curriculums. The new History teacher, who goes by the name of Amialal, is nothing short of intimidating to most of the students, for he never removes his hood and mask, and often causes chills of unrest and fear to spread through the classroom as he speaks of the barbarity of our past, and references an ancient god known only as "Amity"... Occasionally he is absent from the school, causing students to simply miss their history classes for the day.

5. Ferran has taken possession of the Eastern Mines. After a tense auction, people are looking to see what Ferran will do next with their new acquisition after blowing so much money in order to obtain it.

6. Almost 25 young unmarried women have become quite round with child, all claiming that Forese is the father. They are all due to give birth in a couple months... Amonet, who has been mostly reclusive in the Tannell family, has suddenly stepped forward with answers, and informs the women publicly that they are bearing the children of a god, and as such they should be lead by her. These women are easily influenced, and put their trust, and some monetary funds of their own, in Amonet's own hands.

7. Due to the mess of Events that has occurred in the past month, Frye had forgotten the New Moon Festival, which was to be held in the tenth month. As such, the New Moon Festival shall be held this month, the Eleventh Month. The Elders will have a chance to make a united speech at the New Moon Festival, and the Families will have the chance to allocate funds to aid the setup, operation, and decoration of the Festival, and if they do, they may also say a few words.

8. Despite the Elders not giving financial support, the U'debbhaian Church has planned a festival for the coming month, to be held in their church. All will be welcome to attend, but the Elders are prohibited from making a speech as they had refused to support U'debbha's faith.
In short, here are the current Issues that the Elders can vote on this month:
1. Dismemberment of hands a punishment for major crimes, yes or no?

2. Financial support for the Asuran guard to train their recruits, yes or no?

And now, with the Tenth month behind us, the Eleventh month comes forth. How shall we respond to the drastic tremors, the disturbances, and outright messes that have fallen upon us in the past month? We shall see....
"Greater than I, none. Less than I, none. For I am Chayrus. All shall be one, as I am."

1. Yes. Crimes that harm people should be punished.

2. Yes

Events
Try to help Alri

Read the paper from the kidnappers and follow the instructions to get their family members back

Send the wounded investigator to the Medicants' hospital in hopes that they can help.

Attempt domestication of foxes and deer

Send money and food to the Festival of New Moon. Speak about Ferran's refusal to answer questions relating to the evidence found at crime scenes and that Lew suspects Ferran's involvement is deeper than just selling weapons,

Head to the general store and learn about the other items sold by the man with a Morningstar.

Ask around Frye about who the man with a Morningstar is

Check on the Shuldri in Lew's care to make sure that the sick hosts didn't get them sick.

Try to figure out Armanus's plan.

Attempt to get a family member into the Udhebba festival in the church to determine their feelings about Armanus's plan

Ask the Dabalians what they think of Armanus's plan

Follow the history teacher to see where he goes when he is absent from school

Letter to Cisse

Dear Cisse,

We need to inform you of evidence we found at some crime scenes, and think Ferran may be involved. (Lists all evidence found.) This is important, We think Ferran's strike team may be formed to keep them from being found out and to attempt to halt further investigations,

Sincerely, Lew

1. I feel it is unwise to make permanent judgment on those who may have committed crimes. People are easily deceived, which can harm innocent people.
2. Yes, I feel that this is a better way to deal with crime.

Continue repairing the Eloquent Oak, and hope our tarnished reputation improves over time. From now on, be more careful on what dishes we come up with.

The first artifact will be a half size replica of the structure in the woods. It is carefully crafted, by our very best. (Can I say that we are extremely careful, but it will take much more time than usual?)

Confront Amonetabout the claims, and her belief in this outrageous god's child idea!

Natoole lightly prods Elforche and Asura about what happened in the raid.

Have some of our weavers create banners that are to be given to those who run the moon festival. They shall be used every year.
The banner is a rich navy blue, with gold braided tassels that are about two inches long. It has a silvery moon emblazoned in the middle. It is surrounded by a series of mountains. In the distance, a small rendition of Fyre is glowing with lights.

Letter to the Bailiff:
Greeting Cisse,
I am quite curious as to what happened during the "raid" of Elforche. It has caused quite an uproar.

Forese has left Frye quite a while ago, so good luck finding him.

What happened to the family member who was actually captured by thugs who I wanted to free? The one who was ransomed?

Ah, forgot about that, changing my turn accordingly.
